Submit your application no later than March 1 of the year you want the exemption to begin. If you moved in after January 1, you can pre-file for the next tax year.
Apply online, by mail, or in person. Mail to Lake County Property Appraiser, Attn: Exemptions Dept., 320 W. Main St. Suite A, Tavares, FL 32778-3831. Senior income documents are due by May 1.
